Andovar - a true multinational client

Good communication is critical for any business, and for Andovar it is the heart of what they do. Andovar is a true multinational client, with offices in Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Colombia, and the United States. They provide a wide range of communication content services including translation, voiceovers, copywriting, language technology and e-marketing.
The original Andovar website suffered from an overload of flashy special effects. A lengthy introductory animation created a frustrating delay for visitors to the site, and effects applied to every click of a button or change of page created constant distraction and delay when navigating through the site. While the original site was professionally built and demonstrated the technical skill of its builders, it absolutely failed on the core objective - communication.
Starting fresh, gardyneHOLT built a site around good communication. Every visitor to a website is looking for something specific, and good design should help them find it. Our first priority was to clearly outline the range of services Andovar offer, using a simple homepage banner that headlines each of five key areas of business. We created a clean navigation structure and fresh page layouts that put information ahead of decoration.
Our content management system JojoCMS allows Andovar to quickly and easily update content on their site themselves, adding new case studies or testimonials and posting blog entries. The structure keeps the material clean and tidy, while allowing them to add images, logos and links wherever needed.
Web design has gone through a steep evolution in recent years. Improvements in technology continue to extend the range of effects and devices that can be added to a website. They certainly grab your attention. But a key part of good web design is deciding when to leave them out.
